Jacob and Lea’s paths first crossed at Charleston Pour House, and from that moment, the universe had a plan. Two years later, they began spending more time together: dog walks downtown with their beloved pups Bo and Bear, dancing to Susto at The Royal American, and making everyday moments feel like something extraordinary.
From the very start, their connection was electric. Lea said yes to every wild idea Jacob dreamed up — from creating a community dog-walking group on Instagram (with matching tie-dye shirts, of course), to organizing quirky pool parties and crafting buttons for local businesses. And in return, Jacob showed up with 6AM good morning texts, endless laughter, and a friendship that deepened with every passing day.
Eventually, Lea put it all on the table and simply asked, “Do you not see what’s in front of you?” — which was all Jacob needed to realize the love that had been growing between them. They officially became a couple just after midnight on September 7th, 2018, and that’s why they celebrate both September 7th and 8th — it’s their perfect, unforgettable beginning.
Since then, they’ve been a team in every sense. Whether it was Jacob growing out his hair and rocking a mustache for their Simon & Garfunkel Halloween costume, or Lea adopting a pekingese puppy named Beans on a whim, they’ve always been all in. She even unintentionally kicked off the long-dreamed-of tiny home project in their backyard by breaking a window — proving that sometimes, a little chaos sparks big dreams.
Over the past seven years, they’ve built a beautiful life together: raising chickens, hosting legendary Halloween parties, indulging in far too much Chinese takeout, and supporting one another through everything life has thrown their way. Through it all, their love has been the constant — grounded in friendship, fueled by creativity, and strengthened by unwavering support.
Now, they’re looking to the future with hearts full of excitement. Lea was born to be a mother, and Jacob is the only person she can imagine raising a family with. They’re eager to share this wonderful life with children of their own. Their love is patient, playful, and built on the foundation of best friends — the kind that makes you believe in soulmates.
To quote one of their favorite shows:
“When you're a kid, you assume your parents are soulmates. My kids are going to be right about that.” – Pam Beesly
And now, as they prepare to marry, they couldn’t be more thrilled about the next chapter of their story. This day is just the beginning of a lifetime of love, laughter, and all the beautiful things that come with building a family together. They’re ready to celebrate their love — and the amazing journey ahead — surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.
